Park City

Oh. My. Goodness. ..

This weekend has been a loooooong one. I'm exhausted, but wanted to stop by this thing in Park City to get some new blog sponsors, and grab a birthday gift for my little sister. Morgan suggested making a day trip out of it, so we took Dax to do a few things:

We ran back to the car to grab sunblock while Morgan grabbed tickets. He tried to hide from Dax, but that kid is too smart for Dad's tricks!

This picture is too cute...

He asked Morgan if he could go on the 'go-wound'... who can resist a two year old saying please?

On our way up the Alpine slide. .. Morgan gave me so much grief because I insisted the lap rail stay down on the ski lift. . .

My boy's ready to go! Dax had a blast!! I rode in the slide next to them, and he kept waving and shouting 'FASTER!'

If you can see them, both my boys are running through the pillars like crazy monkeys. The tourists thought it was hilarious, and some guy from Texas even video tapped them...... (Awkward....)

After a monster fit, and twenty minutes sitting in time out in the shade, we finally got Dax to calm down enough for lunch. .  . He decided he just wanted water until we were about to leave. Then he wanted a slice of pizza!

My zonked out little guy.

Overall it was way fun. I got lots of sponsors, and got to spend time with my two favorite people. One of whom is sneaking behind me because he refuses to take a nap, and thinks I can't see him.... Better go catch the little turkey!

Riverdale Splash Pad

My friend Vanessa was nice enough to invite us to go to the Riverdale splash pad this morning. I gladly accepted, then remembered I'm watching my friend Janelle's daughter Wednesdays! What was I thinking???

It actually wasn't that bad. I decided it's easier to have two toddlers, because one always listens, and the other one wants to do the same thing as the first, so I didn't have any trouble! Hurray!

Here are some cute pictures from today's activities:

The little girl in the background of this next picture is Isabella. Isn't she adorable?

Dax's 'cheese' face:

He looks so guilty in this next one

Dax told me to take a picture of his granola bar:

And another 'cheese' face:

I love my little boy!

Oh, and on the way down, Isabella yelled out, 'Jesseca, look! We're holding hands!' This is what I saw:

And I picked up cake pops for both kiddo's to enjoy on the ride home,  since they were so good!

Seriously though, how did I get so lucky?

Who Would Have Thought....

... that taking the front runner into Salt Lake would be so much fun for my toddler??

In FACT, we've decided that's the only way we're going into Salt Lake from now on. It was such a low stress level. Dax loved being on a 'train', and we didn't have to worry about any traffic! Not to mention it only took about 20 minutes to get from Kaysville into downtown!

Once we got downtown, we transffered to Trax, and headed into the gateway! Dax flipped over the splash pad, and I got to visit one of my favorite kitchen stores!

After running around for about an hour, we grabbed a quick bite to eat, then headed home.

It was such a fun day! I can't wait to do it again!!

Last Chance For...

.... some good quality swim time. I can already feel summer starting to fade...

Dax took it apon himself to jump into the pool fully clothed this afternoon. Little stinker know's exactly when I'm  not looking!

We're both exhausted, but it was worth it!

Today was $2 Tuesday at Thanksgiving Point. We loaded up early this morning, and headed down. I was expecting to hit all three attractions, but man, Dax wore himself, and me, out pretty quick!

We were 5th in line to the Dino museum, which meant we basically hit all the main attractions before it got packed. So we headed back in for a round 2. Dax LOVED the bones. (I maybe even lost him for a second... But in my defense, I was trying to keep up with him, and had a mini heart attack when I couldn't find him. I'm sure I lost 5 years off of my life!) These aren't my best pictures, but after that little scare, I wasn't interested in good photo's, as much as I was at keeping a close eye on him.

Next we headed over to the Animal farm. UGH. If Morgan would let me get a baby cow, I so would. Those things are adorable! And SOOO friendly. Dax went in to pet it's head, and got an unexpected 'kiss'. The brown cow in one of the pictures licked him from chin to forehead! It was so cute, and I'm sure so dirty, but he is a boy after all, right?

In case you were wondering, Dax wieghs about as much as a baby lamb!

The next picture was right before the 'kiss.' You can see the cow making googly eye's at dax.

Dax thought it was funny that this pony was playing dead... In reality, it looked like it was trying to itch it's back, but Dax couldn't stop laughing!

...ducks...

On the way out of the farm, I picked him up a fudge pop. It was kind of hot, so I figured he needed something to help cool him down.

Unfortunately, by the time we made it to the garden entrance, he had had enough. He threw a monster fit, which lead me to believe it was time to get some food in this kids belly. So we headed home! Next time we'll start with the gardens, and work our way back!

I miss those days...

When I could make Daxton laugh just by using the paper cutter!

I found a bunch of old videos on my ipod. Man I miss him being that little. He's growing up too fast!!
