Summer Fun

I haven't posted in a while, so I have a few things to put on here. I'll start with our adventure from today. A couple of my girl friends decided it would be an awesome idea to walk to the clearfield aquatic center. I tossed the idea around, then decided it couldn't be that bad of a walk. After all, it's only about a mile and a half a way. I do NOT recommend this especially if it is 90+ degree's outside. We did have a blast once we got there though!

Anyone that has a toddler should go to the Aquatic center. The little 2 ft pool they have was perfect for our rowdy group of boys.

I made these amazing cupcakes! Key lime with cream cheese frosting! They were to die for. I do need to work on my decorating though. Also, Dax decorated some cookies for his friend Ethan, and for his grandma.

Goats, Pigs and Chickens

We went out to Gardner Village today to check out the petting zoo. Dax wasn't really into the animals as much as I thought he'd be, but we still had fun.

I know, I know

I put up too many swimming photo's. That's all this little guy wants to do.

Video's, Video's and More Video's

Ok everyone, get ready for some super cuteness! Morgan captured these video's on his phone, and we just uploaded them to the computer! (Yay!)

Video 1: 'Attack of the Baby' (Dax kept blowing on my cheeks to make a fart noise. He thought it was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing.)

Video 2: 'Sprinkler Fun' (Once the grass was all laid out at my in-law's the sprinklers were turned on. Dax thought it was his own private water park. We love how he swings his arms.)

This next video is rated R for full baby nudity, so watch out!

Video 3: 'Little Streaker!' (With the help of dad, Dax managed to make his way out of his diaper and run through the sprinklers naked!)

Hide-N-Seek

For the last week I've been trying to teach Dax how to play hide-n-seek. He didn't really understand the point of the game, or so I thought. . . He was screaming at me this morning so I covered my eyes and counted to ten. This is what I found:

**side note, Dax will be 15 months today at 4:50! Yay!**

Sunny Days

It's finally starting to feel like June! Yesterday was a beautiful day! We spent as much time outside as possible.

I set up Dax's tents outside which was a big hit. He had a blast crawling through the tunnels and making his way through the tents. The grass tickled his legs, and I occasionally could hear his little giggles.

We brought some of his cars outside and took turns pushing them along the sidewalk. Dax is getting pretty good at sharing with mom. (if only that were true when it came to his friends.)

Before we decided to head inside, I let Dax water our plants. He gets so excited to see how much they've grown.

The 'Best' Place to Take a Nap?

Today was a long day for Mr Daxton. We went to a food show with my mother in law and sister in law,and between the huge crowd and chasing Dax, it was exhausting. On the way back we stopped at Costco. Dax was sleeping in the car, so I just laid out his blanket in a cart and put him on top of it. He stayed asleep for a minute. Then decided to peek every now and then.

Cake Pops

These are the cutest thing I've seen in a while. They seemed easy enough, so I decided to give it a try. Making them is one thing, but decorating is another story. I had a hard time getting the sprinkles on before the chocolate started to set. Overall though I think they came out pretty cute. They look really cute in the wrappers I made too.

Also, check out Dax enjoying some yogurt covered raisins on the kitchen floor. Naked!!! (don't worry... it's PG. His man parts are covered)

We need a bigger couch

This is what Morgan came home to last night...

Me and Dax fell asleep together on the couch.

Grandma's Garden

My Mother in-law recently moved into a house with a huge backyard. She planted a really nice garden with a nice variety of plants. While we were hanging out with my sister in-law today, she asked if we wanted to go with her to pick some peas. I'm glad we did. Dax's first reaction was to just spit it out, but when he saw that we were all eating them he gave it a second try. He couldn't get enough. I was surprised how different they taste when they're fresh!

Snake Bubbles

One of the craft blogs I read (Skip to my Lou) is doing a fun thing this month. They're posting one craft a day for 30 days, and this is one we got from there.

DIY Bubble Blower

This bottle makes big 'snake' like bubbles. We had a little bit of a breeze so every now and then the 'snake' would break off and fly away. Dax would chase it around the grass. It was so easy to make, and to be honest, I had doubts about if it would even work. (there is no way something that simple can be fun, right?) All I did was cut off the bottom of a water bottle and, using a rubber band, attached an old rag we had. Then you just dip it in dish soap and blow. What a fun afternoon activity. Perfect for wearing out my little man.
