The Coin Toss

Morgan's grandparents do this every year. They drop a bag full of coins in the middle of a square, and four people battle it out to fill a cup with as many coins as they can. They start with the oldest, and work their way down. Dax was SO excited to participate. He even insisted we get his piggy:

Sick Baby + Santa = Bad Idea

My son is not afraid of anything.... We took him to Disneyland in March, and he took pictures with the characters like a pro! Mickey is one of his favorite characters, so when he got the chance to meet him, he was ecstatic!

I thought we would have the same experience with Santa this year. I've been talking him up since October, and we've watched a few Christmas movies so he would understand who he is.

It didn't work out like I had wanted it to... He's just getting over being sick, so he was not even interested in sitting on some old dude's lap! I, being the mean mom I am, made him sit on Santa's lap anyway, and this is what I got:

 

Needless to say, all of his Christmas gifts will be coming from the reindeer this year... He no longer wants ANYTHING to do with Santa.

Sick Baby

Those of you that know us, know that Dax was sick today. I snagged a couple cute pictures of him being sad.

Want to know the secret to getting a smile? Ask him to say 'cheese balls!'

Apparently licking his toes makes him feel better!

The buzz cut!

I have been begging Morgan for weeks to let me cut Dax's hair! I promised him this last winter that we could let it grow all winter, but it was getting to the point that it was unmanageable.

Now, say goodbye to Dax's long beautiful locks!

Let it snow!

Dax was not a big fan of snow last year. This year, however, we came prepared! Thanks to his grandparents, he had the best snow suit, gloves and snow boots! He begs me to go outside every five minutes to play in the snow! Here are some pictures:

I love that he is sticking his tounge out in the last picture!

I know he isn't facing the camera in many of these, but you should try chasing a toddler around trying to snap his picture in 12 degree weather. It's not easy!

They grow up so darn fast!

I've spent the last half hour browsing through old pictures of Dax, and decided to share some of my favorites! Isn't my baby so handsome?
