Date Night with my Baby!

Dax has been such a sport lately. I've been consumed by all of my cake decorating, and he has patiently played with his trains, and his other toys, waiting for me to finish. Today I decided to take a break, and get him some ice cream!

We stopped by Menchies, & made our way through the topping buffet. Dax couldn't believe all of the things he was aloud to put on his ice cream!

We sat by a giant chalk board. He didn't even notice it was there until he was half way through his treat.

After we finished, we walked through target a few times. By the time Morgan was done with his haircut, Dax was drained!

I'm going to have to do these date nights more often. Dax kept telling me it was fun. What a cutie pie!

Cousins

The last time Shawnee and Merrick were over at our place, Merrick informed me he wanted to take a bath. Of course, I'm not going to say no to my cute nephew! And whatever Merrick wants to do, so does Daxton.

You can see the specs of water flying all over the bathroom. Those boys are crazy!

This next picture just makes them look like they are up to something naughty. . . They love to play in the sink.

I've been bad about taking pictures lately.

Hopefully, with this week being Morgan's birthday, I'll get some good ones.



How I Plan to Turn Our Ugly Doorway, into Something Pretty!

Our doorway is ugly. It's cement... there isn't really anything pretty about cement... So I'm going to change it!

For those who haven't seen it, this is what it looks like:

We are using my MIL's old wash bins, and this is what we have so far:

I know... It's not much to look at YET. But wait until the flowers start coming in. We already have a few:

I've got some more ideas on how to add color. Stay tuned!

Bubbles

Dax got bubbles in his Easter basket, and couldn't wait to get outside to try them:

She enjoys playing with the bubbles as much as Dax!

Boo Boo was feeling a little left out of the action, so Morgan included him in some of the fun.

You would not believe how long we were out there doing this... That kid is addicted to bubbles!

Decorating Easter Eggs... With A Toddler

I was all excited to color eggs this year with Dax. He's really been into the art thing lately, and I thought he'd LOVE this. Man... Was I wrong, or what?

This is what I was dealing with:

So not fun. But then, he discovered the stickers that came with the dye kit!

Once I showed him how things worked, he was much more happy about the whole process. This is his favorite egg... If you don't know the 'Don't' story... just know it's the first word he learned how to spell, and that's what he told me he wanted on his egg...

The green was his favorite

His daddy was more then happy to help!

What I wouldn't give for one more day of....

California sun! It's not too cold here in Utah, but it's not as nice as it was in Cali!! We went to the park today and ended up a muddy mess! Dax had fun though... typical boy!
