It's Still Cold, But That Doesn't Stop Him!

Today was a little warmer, so I let Dax play outside. Despite the pictures, he did have a good time. Every time I'd snap a picture he'd give me his 'mean' face. . . What can you do? Toddlers will be toddlers.

He must have told me to 'stop it!' over a dozen times. Poor kid. Doesn't he know mom's are entitled to take a million pictures of their cute little boy?

The Best Gift EVER

This isn't a new gift, but we still play with it every week!

This handed down pool was too small when we finally decided to get it out. So, with the help of family, we transformed it into a ball pit!

I'd Rather Be A Monkey!

I put Dax down for a nap, and heard him messing around. I went in to his room to find this:

His first gift of the day

So, we have a little confession... We've let Dax open gifts earlier then today. The first gift was from his Aunt Jackie. I used our video camera to record it, but am having trouble uploading the video. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon. Until then, here are some super cute photo's of Dax tearing into a gift from Aunt Donna:

The Coin Toss

Morgan's grandparents do this every year. They drop a bag full of coins in the middle of a square, and four people battle it out to fill a cup with as many coins as they can. They start with the oldest, and work their way down. Dax was SO excited to participate. He even insisted we get his piggy:

The Christmas Party

Morgan's family is a bit bigger then mine, so these things are always too overwhelming for me! But we did have a good time. Here's Dax talking to santa, and a couple other fun pics:

Do you see the death glare he's giving him?

Sick Baby + Santa = Bad Idea

My son is not afraid of anything.... We took him to Disneyland in March, and he took pictures with the characters like a pro! Mickey is one of his favorite characters, so when he got the chance to meet him, he was ecstatic!

I thought we would have the same experience with Santa this year. I've been talking him up since October, and we've watched a few Christmas movies so he would understand who he is.

It didn't work out like I had wanted it to... He's just getting over being sick, so he was not even interested in sitting on some old dude's lap! I, being the mean mom I am, made him sit on Santa's lap anyway, and this is what I got:

Needless to say, all of his Christmas gifts will be coming from the reindeer this year... He no longer wants ANYTHING to do with Santa.
