Seriously, could this kid get any cuter? I got the camera out to record Dax talking to the 'train' that Morgan drew on the chalkboard, and we ended up wiht a few cute videos!

Slip & Slide

We had some friends over this afternoon for a little summer fun. What started out as a game night, slowly turned into a 'help the boys go on the slip & slide' night. My friend Vanessa got some awesome play-by-play pictures of Dax. Hope you enjoy!

The Fun We Had At Pineview

Not much to say about these pics. Dax had a blast playing in the water, and we're all drained!

My Child Is Bossy!

Dax informed me that we needed to get in the car and I needed to drive him to see the trains. . .

Whenever we go to the store, I usually bribe him by saying, 'I'll drive you past the trains if you are really good.' Works every time! Only normally, I just drive him to the overpass so he can watch trax.

Today, however, we surprised him by taking him up to union station. I never realized how close this place is. Looks like we will probably be visiting quite a bit over the next few months!

These are a Few of His Favorite Things

My in laws got a HUGE swing set last night. Since we live in their basement, that means that Dax has access to it every day. I don't think he realized that last night when we had to drag him in the house kicking and screaming. . .

This morning, however, we took the puppy outside to 'do his business' and Dax excitedly yelled, 'Hey mom!! It's still here!!' and proceeded to run towards it.

It looks like we'll be spending most of the day outside. I couldn't even bribe him to come in for a cinnamon roll this morning!!

Bee's Game

Seriously, this week has NOT been my week. I hurt my back yesterday picking up Dax, and have just felt like crap. So when Morgan called and told me he got tickets to a Bee's game I thought, 'yeah right! There's no way I'm going to that!!' But, luckily, he talked me into it.

Right when we walked through the gate, the Bee's mascot was there taking pictures with all the kiddo's. Dax bravely marched up to him, but once the bee turned to face him, he gave out a little girly scream and ran backwards...

He loved that he got to have pretzel and nacho's for dinner!

And here he is sniffing the mini bat Morgan bought for him.... yes, I did say 'sniffing...'

We went a little later, which was nice. We missed the heat, and still got to catch some of the game. Plus, Dax was actually really good. Today started off so bad, I was expecting him to throw fit after fit. Guess he just needed to get out of the house!

Mini Golf

We probably should have known that our two year old doesn't have the attention span to stay interested in this.

BUT, Morgan scored a sweet free pass at work, and we had to give it a try!

After the first two holes, Dax decided he'd just run back and forth on the green, and pick up all the golf balls he stumbled across...

He LOVED the pirate ship he found.

The rides inside were just 'ok'

And he wasn't too happy about the soccer ball being stuck to the string.

but overall, it was a fun night out. :0)
